One plugin instead of a chain

Most mastering sessions stack a parametric EQ, a dynamic EQ, a de-esser, a resonance suppressor, a saturator and a set of meters. Outboard-EQ was built to do all of that in one window, so the signal passes through a single, phase-coherent engine instead of six plug-ins in series. Eight bands, each a full processing channel — not a longer list of simpler ones.

Under the hood

The depth is in the DSP, and we'd rather show it than hide it:

• A shared STFT engine (4096-point FFT, 75% overlap) powers Soothe-style per-bin resonance suppression — running only on bands that need it.
• Linear-phase EQ built from frequency-sampling FIR filters with Kaiser windows, in three resolution tiers.
• An atomic IR double-buffer swaps phase coefficients on a worker thread, so you can switch phase modes mid-playback without dropouts.
• 4× polyphase-oversampled true-peak metering to ITU-R BS.1770 (±0.05 dB), with LUFS targets for nine streaming platforms.
• Native CLAP support alongside VST3 — and multichannel up to Dolby Atmos 9.1.6 with a per-band channel mask.

How we work

Outboard-EQ is a one-time purchase with a perpetual license — no subscription, no rental. The website sets no tracking or marketing cookies, and the plugin collects no usage analytics; the only data it sends is what's needed to activate your license. Support comes straight from the person who wrote the DSP, and every release is documented in the changelog.
