PalmML Rig page

The Rig is a fixed chain that shapes the tone after the note — every insert switches with a click-free ~15 ms fade, and inactive modules do not color the signal at all.

Graphic EQ · mono rack

Graphic EQ rack

  • Eleven bands: <31, 62, 125, 250, 500, 1k, 2k, 4k, 8k, 16k and >16k Hz; each band ranges from −30 to +20 dB.
  • The Preset menu holds 21 selectable EQ curves. Picking a curve only sets the eleven band gains — it does not switch the EQ on by itself.
  • The EQ works as a mono rack: the processed signal is duplicated to left and right, so a wide sample image folds to dual mono while the EQ is active. Stereo modules after it (vibe, chorus, Dark Plate) can re-create width.

Presence · mono rack

Presence rack

A single Level control (0.5–5.0) for the top-end lift a real rig gives. Like the graphic EQ it processes as a mono rack.

Dark Plate · stereo rack

Dark Plate rack

A stereo plate reverb voiced for a short, dark space that does not wash out the palm-mute attack:

  • Predelay 0–200 ms, Decay and Damping, Bandwidth, Mix.
  • Excursion, Decay Diff 1/2 and Input Diff 1/2 shape the diffusion network — from a tight, dense thickening to a slightly more animated plate.

Output finish

Output finish

  • AntiFizz (switchable) — a fixed narrow stereo cut of −8.5 dB at 5,556 Hz (Q 8.5). It removes a targeted hard fizz zone without dulling the whole top end.
  • Softlim (always on) — the output safety. Below −1 dBFS it is bit-transparent; above, it limits gently toward 0 dBFS. It has no bypass by design, so the end of the chain is always protected.
